That's right, our pal Harrison Smith has brought together Robert England, Danny Trejo, Dee Wallace, Doug Bradley and a many, many more of horror's familiar faces for an upcoming fright film that should please any genre fan.
Long-time listeners and readers will remember Harrison has the man behind 6 Degrees of Hell and Camp Dread, two flicks Shawn and I enjoyed. And he was responsible for us interviewing Corey Feldman and Eric Roberts, which are high marks in Basement history.
Now Harrison has Death House in the works, which is based on a script by the late Gunnar Hansen, who, of course, is best known for playing Leatherface in the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre.
Harrison, and I assume Hansen, got so many horror stars to sign on that this flick is a must see! Check it: Camille Keaton (I Spit on Your Grave), Ken Foree (Dawn of the Dead), Barbara Crampton (Re-Animator), Kane Hodder (Hatchet, Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood), Bill Moseley (House of 1000 Corpses) and Michael Berryman (The Hills Have Eyes).
Impressive, no? Oui!
The flick is currently in pre-production with a release date scheduled for some time next year. What's it about? According to IMDb, a secret government facility becomes ground zero for the most horrific prison break in the history of mankind.
Stick with us, as we'll keep you posted on this project as it develops.
