Interview: Dolls producer Jeff Miller

Just the other week Shawn and I reviewed the fun killer-doll flick Dolls, which starred Dee Wallace and is produced by genre veteran Jeff Miller (pictured above, with Danielle Harris). I was supposed to sit down with Jeff last week, but had to take a trip out of town. He and I will record a discussion for the podcast in the near future, but in the meantime, here's an email interview we put together for your reading enjoyment:

Review: Dolls (2019)

Let's face it, dolls are creepy. They don't need to be possessed by demons or the spirit of a serial killer to be scary. They just are. So it makes perfect sense to make horror movies about them, because you're already half way there in the scare factor. The upcoming Uncork'd Entertainment release, Dolls, isn't the first killer-doll movie, and it certainly won't be the last. It's a low-budget effort that's more Stuart Gordon's Dolls than Full Entertainment's Puppet Master, and is a worthy entry in the killer-doll subgenre.

The Seth Breedlove Interview and Dolls

Get ready for a 25-minute journey into the realm of crypitds, ghosts and other Small Town Monsters as Jason and Shawn interview a documentary filmmaker with an interest in the unexplained: Seth Breedlove! Seth is a former newspaper reporter with a passion for all things Bigfoot, Mothman and other weird creatures. He's turned that passion into a profession, making almost a dozen films on the subject. The most recent are Terror in the Skies and On the Trail of... Bigfoot, and he talks with us about his work, what his thoughts are on the paranormal, and a whole lot more.

Chucky who? Uncork'd Entertainment unleashes Dolls in July

Let's be honest here; dolls are creepy as fuck! That's why the Child's Play and Puppet Master films have been so endearing, and I'm pretty sure that's what director Cuyle Carvin and Uncork'd Entertainment intend to capitalize on with their upcoming feature, Dolls.

Camp Dread director unites horror icons for Death House

That's right, our pal Harrison Smith has brought together Robert England, Danny Trejo, Dee Wallace, Doug Bradley and a many, many more of horror's familiar faces for an upcoming fright film that should please any genre fan. Long-time listeners and readers will remember Harrison has the man behind 6 Degrees of Hell and Camp Dread, two flicks Shawn and I enjoyed. And he was responsible for us interviewing Corey Feldman and Eric Roberts, which are high marks in Basement history.
