The past few years have seen many comic books being adapted for the big screen and the small screen- and they've run the spectrum from The Avengers to The Walking Dead. This summer will see a few more of them, including "Rest In Peace Department".
German director Robert Schwentke will be directing this adaptation of of the Dark Horse comic, which is going by the shortened name of "R.I.P.D". Ryan Reynolds and Jeff Bridges have been tapped to star in this Universal Pictures foray.
Reynolds plays Nick Cruz Walker- a recently murdered cop who agrees to join an undead police force keeping the supernatural peace in the hopes of finding the person responsible for his death.
This movie has the potential to be as cool as the first "Men in Black" movie... or as lame as the third one.
"R.I.P.D." will be in theatres July 19th.
