After a year of anticipation, and several stories telling you all about it, we finally get a look at our bro John Fallon's feature directorial debut The Shelter. That's right, it's teaser trailer time!
Know what else is cool about this teaser trailer? The music is by The Basement's very own Shawn! And he's scoring the whole movie to boot! How kick ass is that? Very kick ass!
Now watch, Basementites!
The Shelter is currently in post production and will be a presence at Cannes in the coming weeks. Then it's a trip through the festival circuit with the end game being Sundance early next year. Slick, is all I'll say. Can't wait to see it.
John wrote the script on top of his directorial duties. The great Michael Pare stars. As for the plot: on a star-filled night, widower and homeless man Thomas Jacobs finds shelter when he happens upon a two-storey house with the lights on and an open front door. He strolls in think he's caught a lucky break and, for a while, it would appear that he has. But soon enough he realizes the house won't let him leave, as the doors are locked and the windows can't be opened or broken. Destiny has brought Thomas to this place. What does it want from him? Will he survive the ordeal?
