The long running Hellblazer comic book is all but ready to make the leap onto the small screen this fall in the new TV series Constantine, and the network's marketing arm is well and truly in full swing.
This weekend a nifty three-minute trailer appeared, giving audiences an impressive look at the program. And earlier today a couple of new pics of star Matt Ryan surfaced, promising the actor will at the very least look exactly like the popular anti-hero.
I'm a huge fan of the 2005 feature film version of the Constantine, but the character looks like he will be more accurately served on television. Don't believe me? Then scope out the trailer:
Based on the wildly popular DC Comics series, seasoned demon hunter and master of the occult John Constantine specialized in giving hell . . . hell. Armed with a ferocious knowledge of the dark arts, and his wickedly naughty wit, he fights the good the fight -- or at least he did. With his soul already damned to hell, he's decided to leave his do-gooder life behind. But when demons target Liv, the daughter of one of Constantine's oldest friends, he's reluctantly thrust back into the fray.
