A first look at NBC's Constantine

We told you about the upcoming NBC TV adaptation of the popular Hellblazer comic last fall. Well, the pilot for the series is shooting right now, and a first look at John Constantine himself has hit the Internet.

Constantine is played by Matt Ryan and, as you'll see, he is very accurate to the comic-book character.

Yup. Ripped from the four-colour world, so to speak.

Constantine is written by Batman Begins scribe David S. Goyer and The Mentalists' Daniel Cerone. The Descent and Game of Thrones director Neil Marshall helms the pilot. Pretty good pedigree if you ask me.

I was never into the comics, but dug the Constantine movie a lot. Yes, even with Keanu Reeves in it. The character is perfect for the TV medium. Too bad its not an HBO show. That would be bad ass.
