Last week we reviewed the upcoming indie-horror/comedy We Summon the Darkness starring Alexandra Daddario and Johnny Knoxville. Have you heard the episode yet? Well, get on it!
Today I had the pleasure of chatting with the man who dreamed the movie up, screenwriter Alan Trezza! He also served as the film's executive producer, and broke into the business as the writer/producer of Burying the Ex, which was directed by genre great Joe Dante.
That's a picture of Dante and Trezza above.
Alan and I talked about where the idea for We Summon the Darkness came from, what it was like working with Daddario and, because it's a big part of the movie, we yapped about heavy metal too.
Screenwriting is a tough job. Trust me, I've done it. So it was great speaking with a fellow writer about the business, and how he got this project off the ground. We had a great time, and I can't wait for Basement Dwellers to hear it.
When, you ask? How about Friday, April 3, at 6:05 P.M. -- and only on Radio NL 610 AM Kamloops!
