That's right, Jason and Shawn, along with their lovely co-host Amy, are bringing the show back to 92.5 FM CFBX Kamloops!
A gentleman's agreement was reached today between We Came from the Basement and Steve Marlow and Brant Zwicker of CFBX. The first for-radio episode lands in The X's email on Friday, Feb. 26. A time slot is still in the works, but we expect an announcement soon.
We Came from the Basement will produce new episodes every two weeks, which will appear first run on the radio station before a podcast version pops up online, just like the good ole days. And long-time listeners can expect a bit of the old format to return, with a mix of music and film-related banter and interviews.
First-run episodes of the show, then called Film Reviews from the Basement, ran on The X from 2010 to late 2013. Reruns continue to air on the campus radio station, which is located at Thompson Rivers University in Kamloops, B.C.
We're pumped to go "home." The X is where Shawn and I dialled in The Basement formula, and gave us a credibility to conduct interviews and host our Dark Fest horror film festival.
Steve, Brant and the rest of The X crew are class acts through and through. Big thanks to them for once again being willing to put up with our B.S.! To learn more about The X, visit the official website.
