Under normal circumstances I wouldn't have a lick of interest in See No Evil 2, the sequel to a movie I barely remember watching. I know it was a generic slasher movie featuring a wrestler, but that's about it.
However, the sequel is directed by Jen and Sylvia Soska, our favourite Twisted Twins, which makes it required viewing.
Toss in leading ladies Katharine Isabelle -- who starred in the Soska's American Mary -- and Danielle Harris and guys like Shawn and I are doubly sold.
What's it about? A group of friends pay a late-night visit to the city morgue to surprise Amy (Harris) on her birthday. But the surprise is on them when the one-eyed corpse of brutal psychopath Jacob Goodnight (WWE wrestler Kane) rises from a cold sub-basement slab.
I'm really curious to see what Jen and Sylvia do with this. While clearly rooted in horror, their flicks have so far not been typical genre movies. Here's hoping that remains the case here. We'll find out when See No Evil 2 hits VOD Oct. 17 and DVD/Bluray Oct. 21. Until then, check out the rest of these pics.
