Bo Duke assembles "The Expendables of Horror" for Smothered

Y'all remember Bo Duke, one of the titular heroes of The Dukes of Hazard, don't you? Well Bo, AKA actor/director John Schneider, has rounded up some of horror's most famous faces for his upcoming comedy Smothered.

Dubbed The Expendables of Horror, Kane Hodder, Don Shanks, R.A. Mihailoff, Bill Mosely and Brea Grant star in the flick as themselves. Word has it this is the largest gathering of horror icons in one film ever.

Smothered sees the movie stars gather at a small, disheartening horror convention on Friday the 13th. Running out of patience, and principally money, the group accept a cash offer to frighten the residents of a nearby RV park. But things take a dark turn when they arrive, and these movie monsters soon find themselves the prey.

Yeah, this sound right up our alley here in The Basement. Smothered premieres at the Sheraton New Orleans Hotel in Louisiana on Friday, May 16. There will be a pre-screening social hour and Q&A with Schneider after the movie. Sounds like a lot of fun! Local Basementites should attend and send us a review.

Smothered also features Michael Berryman, John Kassir, Dane Rhodes, and Shanna Forrestall. It's scheduled for release later this year. Stick with us for more information.
