Latest RoboCop trailer thanks you for your co-operation

Two things about this new trailer for the RoboCop remake: 1) I hate to say it, but I like what I see. 2) It will do nothing to sway those in the Internet community who don't want the flick to exist.

I don't either, but director Jose Padilha has taken the ideas planted in Paul Verhoeven's original and run with them. This is a remake that brings something more to the table than a retelling of the old story. I will see it on that merit alone.

And it's got Michael Keaton as a corporate bad dude and Samuel L. Jackson using the phrase "robophobic." Sold!

Now for the trailer, bitches:

In 2028 Detroit, when Alex Murphy (Joel Kinnaman) -- a loving husband, father and good cop -- is critically injured in the line of duty, the multinational conglomerate OmniCorp sees their chance for a part-man, part-robot police officer.

The new RoboCop shoots up theatres Feb. 12.
