Truth be told, I had no idea there was a Dracula TV series in the works. But, given the success of American Horror Story and the pending arrival of A&Es Bates Motel, horror television is hot right now. Why not cash in on Bram Stoker's classic?
Jessica De Gouw (pictured above) will star opposite Jonathan Rhys Meyers as Dracula. My guess is she plays Mina Harker.
And yes, fans of CW's The Arrow, Jessica played The Huntress on that show.
What's it about? Dracula arrives in London, posing as an American entrepreneur who maintains that he wants to bring modern science to Victorian society. In reality, he hopes to wreak revenge on the people who ruined his life centuries earlier but falls hopelessly in love with a woman who seems to be a reincarnation of his dead wife.
No word yet on when this hits the tele.
