The Expendables gave action fans the rare chance to see Sylvester Stallone, Bruce Willis and Arnold Schwarzenegger together on screen. For those of us who grew up on 80s action flicks, it was a big moment. Far bigger than finally seeing De Niro and Pacino in Heat.

With The Expendables 2 that historic moment is taken even further. Not only do the trio act together, they kill the shit out of things together, as is depicted in the above image. And this is a good thing!

The plot for The Expendables 2 is pure badass goodness: Mr Church (Willis) recruits The Expendables for what should be an easy paycheck. Things go wrong, one of the team is killed, and the mercenaries seek revenge. My ass will be in theatres Aug. 17!
