RoboCop reboot outgrosses The Lego Movie

To be clear, the RoboCop remake made $2.8 million on it's opening day , which was a Wednesday , while The Lego Movie took in $2.1 million, it's sixth day of release. There are a couple of ways to look at this. One, the reboot beat out the No. 1 movie in American , which made almost $70 million in three days. If The Lego Movie, which has uber strong word of mouth and is loved by everyone I know who's seen it (child and adult alike) then RoboCop could do quite well this weekend. Thursday and Friday numbers will tell the tale.

The film he put on the chopping block? Frankenstein's Army. Now, I'd already shared my thoughts on Frankenstein's Army right here , but couldn't resist the opportunity to sit in on MuGumBo's show.
