My name is Brandon. I am 11 years old. Shawn is my dad. He asked me if I could review the movie I saw today. I went to see Godzilla with my friends. Here is my review. IT WAS .... It was really loud. But I like loud, because I have two smaller brothers who are noisy, which sometimes stops me from hearing shows or movies. There were parts that didn't make a lot of sense, until all the monsters started showing up, but when they showed up, it was really cool. The monsters looked so real, it was amazing. There were only two battles, but the end battle was amazing. I also didn't know Godzilla could blow fire. Mostly because I'm young and haven't seen any other Godzilla movies . My daddy is going to fix that, though.

Matt Bellamy and I took in Gareth Edwards ' Godzilla tonight -- flick got out mere moments ago to be exact. Being a couple of die hard Godzilla and monster movie fans, we thought we'd share a review of this much anticipated flick. We're gonna trade off thoughts without discussing what will be said in advance. I'm gonna let Matt start things off. And yes, we're aware of the mixed public reaction, for what that's worth. Because who cares what other people fucking think.

We're just weeks away from the release of Gareth Edwards ' resurrection of the classic Toho movie monster . Who's excited? Almost everyone I would hope. Marketing is in full swing now, with a new trailer, image or TV spot popping up by the day. I'm trying to avoid most of them, but the pair of pictures that showed up this morning were too awesome not to share, as they provide a kick ass look at the King of the Monsters .

No, that's not a special codeword for you know what. It's the real deal, as in a Godzilla toy to end all Godzilla toys. JAKKS Pacific has created a giant Godzilla action figure to go along with the upcoming Warner Bros. revival of the popular movie monster, and it's pretty damn epic.

Oh man. That's all I can say about this official trailer for the new Godzilla flick. It's beyond awesome. Really. It is. In fact, I'm gonna shut up and let you witness it for yourselves. Right now. Kudos to Matt Bellamy for letting me know it hit this morning.

And me like. Very much. A version of this will hang in The Basement one day. Mark my words, it will. It's probably safe to assume the anticipation level for Gareth Edward's new Godzilla flick is running high. The trailers look awesome, the cast is stellar, and who doesn't want to see the King of the Monsters stomp the tar out of some city and do battle with a host of other creatures? I'd say anyone with half a brain.

Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy. Can't wait until May 16. If the teaser didn't make you want to see director Gareth Edwards take on Godzilla , then this intense, full-length trailer should. I know I'm sold. And you should be too. This epic rebirth pits Godzilla against malevolent creatures who threaten mankind's very existence. Just two weeks ago we posted a bootlegged teaser trailer for the new Godzilla flick . . . and it was promptly taken down by the Powers That Be on the Interwebs. Sad Basementite is sad. So we went and found another version of it. Happy Basementite is happy. Word has it Warner Bros. will unveil the official trailer for Gareth Edwards ' flick sometime tomorrow. In advance of that, the studio released three new images to satiate fans. They don't show much, nor are they as cool as that preview, but it's Godzilla. We like Godzilla in The Basement. Now word yet on what the new movie is about, other than Godzilla. Edwards has said the flick features more monsters than just the Big Green Guy, so we anticipate a throwdown that'll show Guillermo del Toro what for. Monsters director Gareth Edwards is still balls deep into production on Godzilla , but an image of sorts of the new King of the Monsters has already surfaced online thanks to a Brazilian licensing expo. Gotta love those Brazilian licensing expos. Thank Jebus Godzilla actually looks like Godzilla. As much as Roland Emmerich 's 1998 Godzilla flick is a guilty pleasure, I never dug how they changed the look of my fave movie monster. Edwards has stuck with the tried and true, and I respect that. Just days ago we brought you the uber good news that Gareth Edwards ' Godzilla movie was rolling in Vancouver. Now we've got a video from the set showing off some of the King of the Monsters handy work. Actually, the 48-second video shows the wreckage of a chopper and I can neither confirm nor deny if Godzilla had anything to do with causing said wreckage of said chopper. But it's still something. Plus you get to hear some of the Blue Oyster Cult 's classic Godzilla song. All good. And the video says the footage was taken in Nanaimo. Whatever. It's a slow news day. Who's in it? Not only is production underway, but the Legendary Pictures flick is shooting in Vancouver -- just down the road from Basement Headquarters. Woot! Road trip, me thinks! Who's in it?
