Matt Damon and Paul Greengrass are Bourne again

Couldn't resist that headline. Cheesy, sure. But couldn't resist. So yeah, Matt Damon and director Paul Greengrass , who partnered for The Bourne Supremacy and The Bourne Ultimatum , are in talks to return to the popular action franchise. This, of course, brings to mind a title from another espionage franchise -- Never Say Never Again .

Is Chris Hemsworth a registered Lethal Weapon?

It's been years since The Basement heard any talk of a  Lethal Weapon reboot. To be honest, we'd hoped the project was ded. D-E-D. As in dead. However, the latest rumour out of Hollywood suggests otherwise. Instead, it sounds like  Thor 's Chris Hemsworth has been offered the lead in what doesn't sound so much like a remake, but a half-assed continuation of the series.

Six seasons and a movie; is Community headed to the big screen?

That's the rumour as Dan Harmon 's brilliant, but under seen,  NBC comedy nears the end of its fifth season. Although ratings remain consistently low, Community is one of the few comedies on the network's lineup to stand the test of time. Insiders at NBC and Sony are optimistic that Community will be back for a 13-episode sixth and final season . But what then? Word is Community could be resurrected on the big screen with director Justin Lin at the helm.

Jason versus Fast & Furious 6

With oodles of time on my hands, I thought I should catch up with some blockbusters that have long been on my radar. How does the latest entry in the long-running car franchise stack up? Stick with me. Hobbs has Dom and Brian reassemble their crew in order to take down a mastermind who commands an organization of mercenary drivers across 12 countries. Payment? Full pardons for them all. I am enthralled with how this franchise has developed. Taking a street-racing/crime flick and turning it into a globe-trotting caper series was a ballsy move. Fortunately director Justin Lin , screenwriter Chris Morgan and the entire cast and crew are up to the challenge. This movie is awesome! From the opening chase along an ocean highway to the final, almost unbelievable runway throw down, this is a fun and exciting ride. Props too for keeping the action practical, at least for the most part. My jaw dropped several times. And I laughed too. Fast & Furious 6 has a great sense of humour ...
