We're down to the last couple of weeks of summer break, which means the big movies have all but played themselves out.
However, two wide releases still want to compete for your movie-going buck, and that means the Basement Dwellers have some talking to do with Howie Reimer on the Radio NL 610 AM Morning Show.
And those fine purveyors of witty movie-related banter will also thrown down over the documentary Millennium After the Millennium, which they discussed on the show a couple of weeks back, and have now finally watched.
But what are Alpha and Mile 22? Alpha is a survival tale set (we think) during prehistoric times that turns into a boy-and-his-pet-wolf story (we think). Mile 22, which Jason, Shawn and Howie have previously discussed on the show, is an action-packed flick about a paramilitary unit doing cool stuff. And it stars Mark Wahlberg.
Sounds like a packed eight to 10 minutes to us, so tune in at about 8:40 a.m. on the AM dial, or via the Radio NL link to your right. For added enjoyment, follow the mad tweets of Mike S on Twitter @CameTheBasement.
An extended cut of this segment will drop right here in The Basement by end of day Sunday. Stick with us!
