One week out . . .

Back in late September 2010, I posted an article to this blog reminding Basementites Shawn and I were a week away from our live debut on 92.5 FM CFBX Kamloops. I also encouraged people to tune in for, what we hoped, was a fun hour of movie-related banter and music.

Funny how history has a way of repeating itself.

A week from tonight, at 11 p.m. on March 3, We Came from the Basement returns to The X. Shawn and I are older, probably not much wiser, and have a new member to our crew in the form of the beautiful and talented Amy Wickenheiser. Has anything else changed?

Not really. Mike S will be back tweeting along to the show at our @camethebasement account. Music will still be a big part of the hour, and we'll still be talking movies, movie news and, this episode, our favourite martial arts fights.

Filmmaker extraordinaire Matt Sconce joins us to talk about his upcoming flick Altar, and chime in on whatever else we have to say. He's a pretty cool guy, and digs martial arts and music. He'll fit right in.

The show is going to be less scripted and not as review focused, but otherwise it's the same Basement vibe and banter. Shawn, Amy and I couldn't be happier.

So please, tune in next week at 11 p.m. via 92.5 on the FM dial or through CFBX's official website. We promise it'll be worth staying up late for.

Stick with us!
