Alien: Isolation haunts gamers in October

Here's one Game Time with Greg is going to be all over . . . and the rest of The Basement crew too for that matter.

Alien: Isolation is a direct sequel to Ridley Scott's genre classic, Alien, and promises to make the titular beast scary again. It's not going to do it on the big screen either. Oh no, this is a survival horror video game.

Anticipation has mounted for months as game demos and trailers appeared online. Now word has dropped that Alien: Isolation will land on Xbox One, Xbox 360, Playstation 3, Playstation 4 and PCs Oct. 7.

Set 15 years after Alien, the game follows Ellen Ripley's daughter, Amanda, as she enters into a desperate fight for survival while trying to learn her mother's fate.

Everything about this screams bad ass. I look forward to purchasing a copy and losing myself in Alien: Isolation for weeks. Check out the trailer below:
