First he returned as Indiana Jones, then word had it he was back as Han Solo, and now the rumour mill suggests Harrison Ford could return as Deckard for the Blade Runner sequel.
"Uh, yeah, we've been chatting about it," Ford said when IGN asked him point blank about the possibility.
I'm not sure I'm down with a Blade Runner sequel to begin with. Seems like an odd choice some 30 years after initial release. But Ridley Scott wants to do it, so who knows. His involvement gives me faith.
The fact Green Lantern screenwriter Michael Green is rewriting the script -- which no one knows anything about -- does not. I'm not even sure what more they could do with the story. The original wrapped itself up nicely.
From here on in, it's wait and see. I, for one, only mildly enjoyed Blade Runner but do like to revisit it from time to time. As for Ford, he's the man. Maybe now that he's in his 70s he's looking to give all his classic characters one last kick at the can. Can't blame him for that.
