You all know who Kurt Russell is right? The man is a veritable Hollywood genre legend. Snake Plissken. Jack Burton. R. J. McReady. Gabriel Cash. The list goes on and on.
Russell hasn't done a lot lately, with his last major role being Stuntman Mike in Death Proof. But he's back Sept. 20 with a new flick called The Art of the Steal.
In this con movie about honor, revenge and the bonds of brotherhood, Crunch Calhoun (Russell), a third rate motorcycle daredevil and semi-reformed art thief, agrees to get back into the con game and pull off one final lucrative art theft with his untrustworthy brother, Nicky (Matt Dillon).
Joining Russell and Dillon are Jay Baruchel, Terence Stamp (kneel before Zod!) and Satan's Little Helper hottie Katheryn Winnick. Observe this trailer:
Granted, Jonathan Sobol's flick doesn't break any new ground, but it does look like fun. And Russell certainly brings his trademark smart assery and charm. Here's hoping this and his potential role in Fast and Furious 7 are the start of a new era of awesome for the man.
