Latest Evil Dead red-band trailer gets real nasty

Gotta give Sam Raimi, Bruce Campbell and the rest of the people behind the controversial Evil Dead remake credit, they are NOT shying away from the gore. Not at all.

Doesn't mean we have to like that the film exists. But I must admit the balls on display here guarantee I will, at some point in my life, see it. Because I'm a sucker that way.

Admit it, we're all gonna see it, whether we want to or not. As horror nerds, it's what we do.

Five twenty-something friends become holed up in a remote cabin. When they discover a Book of the Dead, they unwittingly summon up dormant demons living in the nearby woods, which possess the youngsters in succession until only one is left intact to fight for survival.

The obviously hard R-rated flick hits theatres April 12.
