The Happening: The End is happening..

With 12 days to go until the Mayan end date, the world is starting to get a little edgy.

Maybe the Mayan's knew that the Earth will have had enough of us . . . eventually. Maybe they thought that the plants would finally protect themselves. Maybe they knew that the plants could emit a neurotoxin, prompting humans with the urge to kill ourselves, ending our way of life.

Maybe that is what happened to the Mayans.

But the Mayans did NOT have Mark Wahlberg to be nicer to the plants.

M. Night. Shyamalan likes to dabble in things of world ending proportions. He has a unique style and is usually pretty interesting. Usually.

I wasn't a HUGE fan of The Happening. I still dug it enough, for a solitary watch, but it is one of the slower "end times" movies I've watched. I wouldn't blame the fucking trees at all, if they were trying to kill us off, after what we've done to them.

I could accept that fate. But it is winter here and all my trees are sleeping, frozen. If they are the end, in just 12 days, then they better wake the fuck up.
