Basement contributor Matt Bellamy has taken it upon himself to watch and
review at least one horror movie a day for
the month of October . . . because he's awesome that way! And Bellamy kicks it off with a typical horror outing that turned out to be anything but.
Leave it to the creator of the television series Buffy The Vampire Slayer to shake up the horror genre and have a hand in creating something entirely different and fresh! "Different" is exactly what Cabin is, it plays by its own rules while at the same time adhering to the classic set of horror movie rules -- Don't separate from the group! Don't have sex! Don't do drugs! That's what always leads to getting killed, right? If you are a true blue horror fan then this is a movie that is absolutely made with you in mind, it has a great time playing up all of the various stereotypes found within the genre, and then proceeds to throw them right in your face and laugh at them! An absolute blast, the most fun in a horror film since Evil Dead 2.
