Sure sounds like it. In fact, the folks over at Bloody Disgusting are pretty damn convinced that Carrey is in the sequel to the 2010 comic book adaptation.
Kick-Ass 2: Balls to the Wall director Jeff Wadlow has stated that Carrey was in the running for the role of Colonel Stars. Today Wadlow tweeted, “6 days till we start shooting… and we officially have our Colonel. Alrighty f’n then! @ChloeGMoretz @MintzPlasse @donald_faison #kickass2.”
According to Bloody Disgusting, Christopher Mintz-Plasse then sent a tweet asking who got the part. Kick-Ass creator Mark Millar wrote back , “Clue – he lives with 200 raccoons and parrots, owns the mask of Loki and named by Spielberg as a genius.”
Sounds like Jim Carrey to me.
Kick-Ass 2 is scheduled for release on June 28, 2013.
