I never read Alvin Schwartz's uber popular -- and uber controversial -- Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark novels, as I missed the boat in terms of being their teen-based target audiences. But I am well aware of them, and not just because of the big-screen adaptation headed our way this summer.
A new documentary by Cody Meirick titled Scary Stories opens later this month, and it explores the storied history of the book series, and why it became among the most banned books of all time.

Looks decent! And a good way to catch up with Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark before the movie adaptation hits.
Scary Stories opens in limited theatres April 26, lands on VOD May 7, and then DVD July 16.
