No blockbuster releases this weekend, but there's still a pair of movies featuring high-profile casts and high concepts duking it out for your hard-earned movie dollar.
And Jason, Shawn and Howie are here to tell you all about it on the Radio NL 610 AM Morning Show. That way your entertainment choices are a little easier to make.
They also have a feature interview with scream queen Jamie Bernadette about her latest project, The 6th Friend. Stick with us!
Opening this week is The Kid Who Would be King from director Joe Cornish, who exploded onto the genre scene with the much loved British sci-fi/horror film Attack the Block back in 2011. This time he's tackling the King Arthur legend, mixing fantasy with the modern world. And he's cast Hollywood heavyweights Rebecca Ferguson and Patrick Stewart in key roles.
Not for you? Then how about Serenity with Matthew "Alright Alright Alright" McConaughey and Anne Hathaway in what appears to be a gritty bit of neo noir? The cast is good, but the lack of fanfare doesn't bode well.
That's OK, though, as we've got the Jamie Bernadette interview. She's risen to fame in the horror circuit, and her latest flick is a female-driven slasher movie along the lines of Scream and Halloween. She'll tell you all about it at 8:40 a.m.
So tune in via the AM dial, or the player to your right. It's radio for people who don't always like radio.
