It seems like human sacrifices, dogs and cats living together, and other mass hysteria have occurred, as a new Ghostbusters movie -- one that ignores the 2016 remake -- is headed our way in 2020!

What do we know about the picture? Not much, other then Jason Reitman (son of original Ghostbusters director Ivan Reitman) will direct from a script he co-wrote with Gil Kenan. Reitman stated this is a continuation of the 1984 film.

No word on if Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd and/or Ernie Hudson will return (Harold Ramis died in 2014). There's also no story details, other than there are four mysterious teen roles that are currently being tested for.
Excited? Well, this can't be any worse than the 2016 film, which was just OK. I personally can't see this working without the involvement of the surviving original cast in some capacity. Reitman is a good director, best known for indie drama, so he's an interesting, yet obvious choice.
We'll know more closer to the summer of 2020, when the new Ghostbusters debuts.
