It's game time with Hillbilly Horror Show

We'd hope by now that most of you would've given the brilliant online horror/comedy anthology series Hillbilly Horror Show a watch. It's a great way to support indie film and independent filmmakers.

The makers of Hillbilly Horror Show are taking things up a notch and entering the world of gaming with a new app called Fetchin' Lulu.

The concept is simple yet awesome: you play HHS host Bo (Bo Keister) as he sets out to rescue kissing cousin Lulu (Rachel Faulkner, picture above) from the clutches of their evil Uncle Cletus. That sounds so awesome, I'm awesomed out by how awesome it is.

Fetchin' Lulu is in the beta stage, and we've scored a little gameplay clip for your eye holes. Check it:

I'm willing to bet Game Time with Greg is gonna give this one a spin. Everyone needs a kissing cousin to rescue.

This series, dating back to 1929, got turned into a animated feature film by Steven Spielberg in 2011. Unlock your fate with The Puzzle

When my dad wasn't working, building stuff or being my dad, he was making puzzles. It was a guaranteed way for him to unwind. So it was with great interest that I sat down to watch Italian filmmaker Davide Melini's award-winning short The Puzzle. You see, the mother in the five-minute film likes to relax with puzzles just like my dad. Unfortunately, her good-for-nothing son keeps harassing her for money. Losing herself in her favourite passtime, the mother soon discovers that completing this puzzle might unlock a nightmare. The Puzzle has been an official selection at more European film festivals than you can shake a stick at, and was voted Third Best Italian Film at the Rome International Film Festival in 2008. Having watched it, I'm not surprised. It's a tight little film that hits you hard in the final few seconds.
