First trailer for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles looks like a Michael Bay movie

That's pretty much the only thought that flowed through my booze-weary brain after watching this preview for producer Michael Bay's update of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. That and Megan Fox is still hot.

Whether it looking like a Michael Bay movie is a good or bad thing depends on your opinion of the man's movies.

But why don't you give it a watch before we continue this conversation.

OK. Bay says he makes movies for 14-year-old boys. The Turtles, at least the pop-culture phenomenon from the late 80s and early 90s, was engineered toward 14-year-old boys. So the fit works. I see nothing here that makes me believe Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles won't be a huge hit with young people.

Us older folk? Meh. I can Google Image Megan Fox all I want and not sit through another rendition of Ninja Turtles.

Jonathan Liebesman directs. Will Arnett and William Fichtner co-star. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles leaps onto the silver screen August 8.
