Conan gets a red band trailer

Any fears of a watered down Conan The Barbarian hitting theatres in August have been dashed thanks to this red band trailer, which offers gallons of blood and violence and a hint of sex and boobies.

Does this mean the latest version of Robert E. Howard's barbarian will be any good? I seriously have my doubts. But at least my bloodlust will be satiated. Jason Momoa is certainly giving the role his all, but he has a long way to go to best Ah-nold.

We'll know more when Conan hits theatres Aug.19. Until then, watch the blood spill!

    Im a HUGE conan fan,all the original howard stuff.And the Barbarian with Arny.I loved the first movie always will.Jason Mamoa's characters ive seen so far have been amazing.Ronon Dex in Atlantis and Khal Drogo in game of thrones.I like the guy,but i dont think hes conan quality.Hes just not big enough.It was Arnold who set the bar for the size of conan he just fit the bill.The other thing was when they were casting for conan Jared Paladecki was in the running as well.SO now they dont need to act ANd have to be a pretty face.Man why didnt they just go with Triple H,He might not be able to act but at least hes the size.Worked once before.All i can hope for is that it isnt a bomb.PLease let it be good.

    I don't know. CGI blood is a turn off for sure. And all the blood in the world can't erase the fact that this looks to "clean." Too Hollywood.

When my dad wasn't working, building stuff or being my dad, he was making puzzles. It was a guaranteed way for him to unwind. So it was with great interest that I sat down to watch Italian filmmaker Davide Melini's award-winning short The Puzzle. You see, the mother in the five-minute film likes to relax with puzzles just like my dad. Unfortunately, her good-for-nothing son keeps harassing her for money. Losing herself in her favourite passtime, the mother soon discovers that completing this puzzle might unlock a nightmare. The Puzzle has been an official selection at more European film festivals than you can shake a stick at, and was voted Third Best Italian Film at the Rome International Film Festival in 2008. Having watched it, I'm not surprised. It's a tight little film that hits you hard in the final few seconds.
