Now he's ready to set his machete on the world of board games. USAopoly announced a fully licensed Friday the 13th game, subtitled Horror at Camp Crystal Lake, will come out this summer. There's no exact date firmed up yet, but the game will retail for $29.99, and take about an hour to play. In this anxiety-driven, press-your-luck horror game, players take on the roles of cliche camp counsellors like the stereotypical Nerd, the Partier, the Nice Guy, the Final Girl, the Diva, and the Jock as they rely on chance and strategy to survive five nights being terrorized by blood-thirsty Jason. Board games are back in a big way, with manufacturers more than willing to take classic movies and books and adapt them to the concept. My wife got me Who Goes There? last fall, and it's an awesome adaptation of the classic John Campbell novel that become John Carpenter's The Thing. Yup, there's a Thing board game, and it's awesome! Now we've got It: Evil Below heading our way just in time for Warner Bros.'s sequel to the monster -- pun intended -- 2017 film, and it sounds pretty rad.
