There was a time when David Arquette was a box office draw (kinda), Scarlett Johansson was relatively unknown, and Kari Wuhrer starred in a TV show called Sliders . During this wondrous era, a giant spider movie called Eight Legged Freaks came out, and it starred all of them. But was it good? Stick with me! A variety of horrible, poisonous spiders get exposed to a noxious chemical that causes them to grow to  monumental proportions. Then they attack a small town.

Basement contributor Matt Bellamy has taken it upon himself to watch and review at least one horror movie a day for the month of October . . . because he's awesome that way! Tonight, Bellamy asks "What's your favourite scary movie" for a fourth time.   Sure is good to see horror mastermind Wes Craven bounce back after the abysmal ' My Soul To Take ', I guess it took going back to the well of one of his more popular series to make it happen! The 'Screa m' movies haven't all been consistently great, in fact I feel like each installment got progressively worse, culminating in ' Scream 3' which was way too up its own ass and forgot to be entertaining let alone scary.
