Jexi messages Gemini Man for The Addams Family

A trio of decidedly different films hit theatres today; an animated update of a TV classic, a smartphone-themed comedy, and an action flick starring Will Smith. Which one is right for you? That's the question From The Basement hopes to answer when they hit the Radio NL 610 AM Morning News at 8:20 this morning. So yeah, there's an animated version of The Addams Family coming out this weekend. It features the voices of Charlize Theron, Chloe Grace Moretz and Oscar Isaac. Could be a good Halloween watch for the kids. In the mood for action? How about Will Smith Vs. Will Smith? Then check out Gemini Man from Academy Award winning director Ang Lee. Yup, an action film from an acclaimed director. Kudos to him! And finally, there's Jexi, which is about a smartphone that becomes obsessed with its user. It's a comedy, by the way. Ang Lee takes on the Tyrant!

I'm sure you would love to see the Oscar-winning director go mano et mano with some big, mustached dictator- who wouldn't?  Unfortunately, that's now quite what's happening. Ang Lee - who recently won Oscars for his work on " The Life of Pi " will be tackling a TV pilot for  a series called, " Tyrant ". The synopsis given for the series is pretty basic, and doesn't really give much insight into it: An ordinary American family gets caught up in the affairs of a turbulent Middle Eastern nation . The US cable channel, FX will begin shooting the show this summer, and chose Ang as the pilot's director because: " Ang Lee has demonstrated time and time again an ability to present characters with such depth and specificity that they reveal the universal human condition " - John Landgraf , FX president Lee is also well known for such movies as " Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon ", " Sense and Sensibility ...
