The sun is shining, the air is brisk, and it's Wednesday- which means it's time to prop my feet up, enjoy a tip and sip, and tell you what I think of this week's beverage... the Colorado Bulldog...
This drink, like most of the ones I'll be reviewing, is a super easy drink to make. Just take an ounce of Kahlua, an ounce of vodka, and mix them in a shaker filled with ice. Pour it into a glass and fill the rest up with Coca-Cola.
Voila!
The Colorado Bulldog tasted almost exactly like the Rum and Coke I made to start this series, to be honest. It tasted like a coffee flavored Rum and Coke.
It made me wonder what the point of mixing extra ingredients was, given there was an easier way to get the same result: mix coffee flavored rum with Coca-Cola.
Don't get me wrong- it tastes good... and would be a suitable back-up in case you wanted a coffee flavored Rum and Coke... but lacked the coffee flavored rum.
Since coffee flavored rum does exist, this recipe is redundant... and a waste of ingredients. I'm not going to be inclined to use it again, so I'm going to have put it in "The Ugly".
