A couple of weeks back Shawn and I reviewed the no-budget horror flick Don't Run, and praised it and the effort writer/director Ben Rood put into making what is clearly a passion project for him.
Today I had the pleasure of interviewing Ben about his movie, and the conversation was a joy indeed.
Ben's a scrappy guy who had a buck to his name when he started making Don't Run back in 2016/2017. It took him three years to finish the movie, and he paid the way by moving furniture and working as a firefighter. Yes, a firefighter!
We talked Don't Run and its inception, how Ben kept the project afloat through the years, and how it's been received. Ben has talent, which is clear in his finished movie. We're excited for what he's got next. And yes, he talks about that too.
When do you get to hear this conversation? How about next Friday, June 19, at 6:05 p.m., and only on Radio NL 610 AM Kamloops!
