The Basement wants you!

That's right, We Came from the Basement is looking for a few good men and women who want to contribute an article, review, editorial or news item a week to our little corner of the Interwebs.

See how direct that was? No beating around the bush, subterfuge or misdirection. We want people who enjoy movies, who enjoy talking about movies AND who enjoy writing about movies to come write for us.

No, we won't back dump-truck loads of money up to your house to do it, but we've been known to send Amazon gift cards people's way. And running this site and radio show/podcast has led Shawn and I to work in film and meet some really cool people in the industry, so one never knows where something will lead.

We can promise that we won't be demanding and hold a gun to your head to write. We just hope you have fun and want to keep doing it. Nor would you be working alone, as myself, Kevin Watt and Mike S will continue to contribute.

Interested? Drop us a line at basementreviews@gmail.com or come find us on Facebook at our official fan page or group page.

Hopefully we'll see you, in The Basement.

Review: The Proposal (2018)

Star Marc Natoli says that line about half way through the action short The Proposal, and there's no better way to sum the film up. Although just 10 or so minutes long, The Proposal is everything an action fan could ask for.

In fact, the only complaint I've got is I wanted more!

Millennium After the Millennium, Mission: Impossible - Fallout and Teen Titans Go! To the Movies

Aside from having the longest episode title in Basement history, the latest entry in our eight-year-long series also marks the first time Shawn has not appeared on the show!

Yup, no Shawn for you! He's on vacation.

But the Mad Twit Mike S sits down with Jason for this, the extended cut of Friday's segment on the mighty Radio NL 610 AM Kamloops, featuring an interview with filmmakers Troy Foreman and Jason Morris about their documentary Millennium After the Millennium.

That's when We Came from the Basement begins it's new season, on a brand new station: Radio NL 610AM!

The Basement Boys kick off their eight to 10 minute segment at about 8:20 a.m., riffing on this week's new theatrical releases, plus sharing their thoughts on whatever passes through their movie-massacred minds.
