Cannon Films doc Electric Boogaloo gets a trailer

Ah yes, Cannon Films. Hands down my favourite movie studio growing up. Why? Missing In Action, Delta Force, Enter the Ninja, Ninja III: The Domination, Death Wish 3, American Ninja, Masters of the Universe. Need I go on?

By most people's standards, all of the above are crap films. But they were the crap films I loved as a child, and they're the crap films I still love today. And they were made by The Cannon Group.

Director Mark Hartley explores the world of the Golan/Globus legacy in the documentary Electric Boogaloo: The Wild, Untold Story of Cannon Films. The doc has earned great buzz on the festival circuit for its revealing look at how Cannon made movies and lured the likes of Charles Bronson, Tobe Hooper, and Barbet Schroeder to do it. If you love movies, this is a must see. No doubt about it.

Here's the trailer, yo!

No word yet on release date, but audiences can expect Electric Boogaloo to hit some time next year. What's your favourite Cannon film?
