First look at Schwarzenegger's zombie flick Maggie

That's right folks, Arnold Schwarzenegger is starring in a zombie film. A zombie film called Maggie. In all my years as a movie AND Schwarzenegger fan, I never thought this day would come. But it has.

And Maggie doesn't sound like any old zombie film either. No, we won't see the Austrian Oak take 'ole Painless out of the bag and unleash hell on a horde of the undead. This is something . . . different.

Don't believe me? Here's the synopsis: a midwestern farmer stays by the side of his beloved teenage daughter as she slowly turns into a cannibalistic zombie.

Abigail Breslin stars as the daughter and Joely Richardson plays Schwarzenegger's wife.

Know what? I'll see Maggie. This is a bold move for Ah-nold, who hasn't really connected with today's movie audience for whatever reason. I'm glad he's got enough stones to try a small, indie movie like this.

Maggie premieres next month at the Toronto International Film Festival. Here's some more pics:

  1. I'm not an enormous Ah-nold fan, but I'll agree that this sounds like a pretty decent flick. And Abigail Breslin is such a great little actress. (Loved her in Zombieland - seems like zombie flicks are her thing!)
