we told you about a cool new contest that would put an aspiring filmmaker's work in an upcoming horror film from Pontypool director Bruce McDonald -- Hellions.
Well, the contest is over and a winner has been announced!
The Crimson Thread, by writer/director Nate Wilson, will be featured in a scene from the Halloween-themed feature film. The short also has the potential to be screened theatrically in its entirety alongside Hellions and will be included as a special feature on the Hellions DVD/Blu-ray.
Fans had the opportunity to vote for their favourite entry, with the final round of judging carried out by McDonald, Rue Morgue publisher Rodrigo Gudino and Hobo with a Shotgun director Jason Eisener.
We're pumped for Hellions, which stare Chloe Rose as a pregnant teen who must fight for her life when three malevolent trick or treaters come knocking on Halloween night. You can keep up with the flick on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
