If you haven't figured it out yet, Jay is a Star Wars junkie and I am a Trekkie.
I took in the latest in the revamped Star Trek series; Into Darkness. 3 extra goddamn dollars. (3D).
I was very skeptical on the revamping of the series, but they were able to "re-write" history with a little "time travel" mess...and can now boldly go whereever the hell they want.
Spoiler alert! The bad guy is Khan! However, with the new history to begin (confusing) is he the bad guy? or...
Anyways, here is where big budget, big actors and great storytelling gave Hollywood the right to take its' proverbial bow.
I loved the first reboot (even though we despise most reboots, here in The Basement) and I dug this re-hashing of an old but formidable opponent. (see what I did there?)
Truly satisfying from beginning to end. To top it all off, it was a "date night" flick for me and my wife. She also enjoyed it!
Not worth the three extra dollars for the 3D experience, as it didn't really play to that, anyways...
Without question, a Good.
