One thing I really dig about the Interwebs is the ability to see how movies are marketed around the globe. Granted, trailers and posters are often not all that different than those in our home and native land, but it's still cool to see.
Take this preview for The Conjuring from the United Kingdom. Sure, its essentially a reworked version of our domestic trailer, but there's enough new footage to make it interesting. I am surprised the reference to The Amityville Horror -- arguably Ed and Lorainne Warren's most notorious case -- has been cut, but you still get a lot of evidence as to why James Wan's film was considered too scary for PG-13 by the MPAA.
Paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren (Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga) work to help a family terrorized by a dark presence in their farmhouse. Forced to confront a powerful entity, the Warrens find themselves caught in the most terrifying case of their lives.
The Conjuring opens in North America and the UK on July 19.
