Carrie reboot packs up and moves to October

Which actually makes logical sense. If I were a big-wig studio exec, I'd release as many horror movies as possible during the Halloween season because . . . duh! It's Halloween dumbasses! Why release a horror flick in the spring or summer? It's sunny. And pleasant.

I digress.

MGM and Sony announced today that the Kimberly Peirce-directed adaptation of Stephen King's first book has moved from its March slot until Oct. 18. The story once again follows a sheltered high school girl (Chloe Grace Moretz) who unleashes her newly developed telekinetic powers after she is pushed too far by her peers.

Because we can, here's another look at the teaser trailer.

Thanks to Bloody Disgusting for the tip.
