Micro Review: Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocol

Shawn and I take the piss out of Hollywood as often as we can, but when the studio system gets a blockbuster right, it really knocks it out of the park. Case in point, the latest installment in Tom Cruise's Mission: Impossible series. Sure, it doesn't have the edge or gratuitous violence of an indie R-rated effort. But it is larger-than-life fun with one thrilling set piece after another. Plus there's some decent fights, a car chase through a sandstorm, and the sex appeal of Paula Patton. My favourite entry in the series is still the third one, but this delivers on all counts. The sequence at the Burj Khalif in Dubai is a standout. A Good from The Basement on this.
