It's time again for me to take to the stars and fight the good fight.  Today, I get a little rogueish... The Empire's ultimate weapon is nearing completion- allowing the Emperor to rule unchallenged.  But there's a problem: an Imperial Pilot has defected with news about a weakness that had been secretly built into it.  This news drags the a small team into a battle that could be the end of the Rebel Alliance... or the start of a new era of hope... " Rogue One " is one of the best instalments in the Star Wars franchise.  The story is strong and well crafted.  It fills in one of the most pivotal moments in the story, while also fleshing out the Star Wars universe.  I loved that it diverged from the standard Star Wars fantasy genre, by beautifully blending in strong elements of the war movie genre in the vein of " Saving Private Ryan ", " The Great Escape ", etc.  One of the strengths was definitely the fact that it was very character based...

Well, this is not "normal" for me: reviewing a second movie that's recently been in the theaters. Of course, this could be related to what Jay was discussing in his article about Studios closing the " Theatre-to-Digital Gap ".  I suggest reading that article by the way.  I rate it in " The Good ". But I'm here to review to " Solo: A Star Wars Story ".

It's hard to believe, but the summer-movie season is almost upon us once again. In fact, it officially kicks off May 5 with the release of Captain American: Civil War. And there's a gazillion movies scheduled to come out during the three months that follow. Do you know what you want to watch this summer? Yes, Basementites, the era of the teaser teaser is alive and well. Sure, teasing a teaser seems like a pointless exercise, as the teaser is supposed to tease the trailer, which teases the movie. My head hurts.

That is certainly the rumour circulating the Interwebs these days. Yup, for those who thought we'd seen the last of the Dark Lord of the Sith, think again. Darth Vader will be back! Word is Vader appears in the upcoming Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, which follows the exploits of the Rebel group that stole the plans for the original Death Star, therefor allowing Luke Skywalker to blow it up.
