Small Town Monsters continues its exploration of the UFO phenomenon with this comprehensive and insightful series. This next run of episodes takes us from East Coast forests to the deserts of Nevada, and places in between.
With the history of UFOs already established, host Shannon Legro and the Small Town Monsters team explore UFO hotspots like Sedona, Chestnut Ridge and the forests around New York. And yes, they make a stop at Area 51, right when the Storm Area 51 craze took off.
Legro and company discuss the relationship between UFO and Bigfoot sightings, the possibility aliens aren't necessarily from space, and John Keel's Ultrabeing theories. This is done through interviews with researchers, historians and an impressive collection of UFO witnesses. They also touch on how popular media like The X-Files and Project Blue Book influence our perception of the phenomena.
As with the first two episodes, and Small Town Monsters's growing list of docs, On the Trail of UFOs continues to be an entertaining mix of interviews, re-enactments and on-the-ground investigations. These episodes are among the most visually impressive, given the ground the filmmakers literally cover. And, as always, I appreciate how they present all the facts as they know them, and leave it up to us viewers to decide what, if anything, is going on.
There's still an episode or two to go, and Shawn and I look forward to seeing them. Whether you're a believer or not, we highly recommend this series. It continues to be a Good.
Small Town Monsters has a Kickstarter campaign underway for future project. Go here now and throw them some support!
