Remember when Psycho made showers scary? Well, probably not. It came out before even I was born. But no doubt you heard the impact the classic shower scene had on audiences. It's the stuff of cinematic legend.
The Grudge reboot looks to make showering -- and bathrooms in general -- scary again. In fact, this trailer for director Nicolas Pesce's new flick is pretty darn effective. It re-introduces you to the backstory while setting up new characters and situations. And it's got a pretty stellar cast too.
Take a boo:
Yup, that's John Cho and Lin Shaye, plus indie fave Andrea Riseborough. While it might seem like a complete reboot, this film actually takes place at the same time as 2004's The Grudge starring Sarah Michelle Gellar.
Whether it's as scary as that movie remains to be seen. We'll find out when The Grudge creeps into theatres Jan. 3, 2020.
