Got an email in our inbox from producer Zach Green of Fatal Pictures giving us the skinny on a new horror short he's about to unleash upon the world -- Familiar. And boy does it look like it's going to be good and bloody!
Written and directed by Richard Powell with gobs of the red stuff courtesy of Ryan Louagie's FX's, Familiar tells the story of a middle age man who, through a series of tragic events, grows to suspect the negative impulses plaguing his mind might not be his own.
Cryptic? Yes, as is the teaser below. But we've got a screener of this little horror find en route to The Basement and we'll be interviewing Green and Powell early in the new year, so you'll be able to hear much more about Familiar in 2012. And you'll hear it in The Basement.
In the meantime, enjoy the preview. It gave me chills during its short running time. Looking forward to seeing the final film!
