Top Five Soundtrack Songs

Music is an important part of a movie.  It enhances the mood and emotional impact of a scene- makes it scary, dramatic, exciting, funny, etc. So, what follows are my Top Five Soundtrack Songs: "Haunted Heart" (Christina Aguilera):  This song is from the start of the latest animated "Addams Family" movie.  It is a nice, haunting, beautiful song- a song fitting for introducing Mortica Addams. "The Touch" (Stan Bush):  This is considered one of the best songs to appear in an animated film.  That film being "Transformers" from (1986).  Just a really energetic, rocking song. "Hooked on a Feeling" (Blue Swede):  The Guardians of the Galaxy is known for it's classic songs- for me one of the more iconic ones from that movie is "Hooked on a Feeling".  A nice, bouncy, relaxed song that you can bop around to like Starlord on an alien planet looking for an Infinity Stone... Jason versus Baby Driver

If you're anything like me, and treat every experience behind the wheel as a high-speed chase, you'd best not put your key in the ignition for a good 30 minutes after watching Baby Driver. As for what the film is about: a group of college kids try to figure out who is killing their friends while unraveling an unresolved string of murders from twenty years prior and connecting them to the recent killing. To learn more, just head on over to Ryan's official blog . Now a little something for your ear holes:

Next on the chopping block: 100 Feet and Babysitter Wanted

When a filmmaker named John Carpenter screened his first horror movie, Halloween, for a young studio executive at 20th. Century Fox he did so without the music. She bluntly told Carpenter his film wasn't scary, that it didn't work. So the director and composer set out to "save it" with music. The score he composed, and the chilling film he made, have become fixtures in popular culture. Tonight, on a special episode of Film Reviews From the Basement, The X's own Rev. Steve of Do Not Touch This Amp joins us for a discussion on movie soundtracks and their transition from being accompanying music to a big moneymaking business. It's a segment no film or music fan will want to miss. And yes, there will songs. But we are review show, and that means Shawn and I have a couple of reviews for your listening pleasure. First up is the haunted house spookfest 100 Feet starring former Bond babe Famke Janseen and John Fallon of Arrow In the Head. Then we turn the executione...
