Yet another remake in the seemingly never ending line of remakes, but at least this one is coming from the company that made the original. And THAT movie was released in 1957. I wasn't alive then, for the record. Hammer's new version of The Abominable Snowman is written by Matthew Read (Pusher) and Jon Croker ( The Woman in Black : Angle of Death) and will again follow a scientific expedition's illegal ascent up an unclimbed peak in one of the world's most formidable mountains . Along the way they awaken an ancient creature * cough a Yeti cough* that could spell certain death for them. I'm down with this. There's not enough Bigfoot and Yeti movies out there, and the world needs them. That's right, NEEDS them. So far Hammer has done damn fine work resurrecting itself. Here's hoping the trend continues.
